Hearing Sounds
Show your child how to investigate what their ears do by listening carefully to the sounds around them. Then ask them to cover their ears with their hands and listen carefully again to compare how the sound is different. This demonstrates that we hear when sound enters our ears and covering our ears stops most of the sound from entering so the sounds we hear are much softer/quieter.
